FX TRADING IN SHORT
TRADING HOURS Forex trading operates 24 hours a day. Each day of forex trading starts with the opening of Wellington, then Sydney and other Asian markets including Tokyo and Hong Kong, followed by London and other European markets and lastly, New York in the Americas.

Overlapping forex trading hours contain the highest volume of traders.
Overnight SWAP Rates All Forex contracts are subject to an overnight SWAP with triple SWAPS being applied on the positions held over a Wednesday or Friday. Note: Forex related SWAPs are factored as pips/lot.
SPREADS A spread is simply defined as the difference in the bid and ask price which is evaluated in points.
MARGIN REQUIREMENTS Margin is usually expressed as a percentage of the full amount of the position. For example, it requires 2%, 1%, .5% or .25% margin. You can keep track of your Used and Usable Margin on your trading platforms.
Orders and Execution All market standard order types are available, i.e. Market, Limit and Stops. Trailing Stops, where the Stop level moves in line with the market price, are supported for all Stop order types.
